4-H Leader's Training
Get Started Fast! Volunteer Leader Training helps you get started in your 4-H experience. You will learn the basics of starting your club or leading a project.
Volunteer Leader Training:
- Learn the basics of being a 4-H Volunteer Leader
- Meet other new leaders.
- Get the resources you need to work with youth.
Kitsap County 4-H requires all leaders to attend Volunteer Leader Training within the first year of becoming a 4-H leader. Experienced leaders who would like to update their knowledge are welcome and will have ideas to share!
All 4 Sessions are Required
Session
1 - Basic Orientation to 4-H
Training covers the structure of 4-H and general 4-H information,
mandatory reporting, youth development.
Session
2 - Club Leadership
Learn how 4-H clubs operate, finances, insurance, enrollment
and more.
Session
3 - Working with Youth in 4-H
Covers youth development, tips and techniques of youth work.
Session 4 - Training covers working with youth in projects and learning from project management leaders.
