Community Supported Agriculture
Farming in Kitsap County generally occurs on small parcels growing limited quantities of produce or livestock. Most Kitsap farmers are marketing their produce directly to you, the consumer, through a local farmers market or Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). CSA's are subscriptions paid by consumers to farmers for weekly produce provided during the growing season, typically May through October. The four farmers markets in Kitsap County also provide shoppers with a fresh local food supply from spring until fall. These farm direct market outlets are critical to the future sustainability of our local agriculture. For more information on CSA's and Kitsap Farmers Markets call (360) 337-7225.National Listing of CSA Farms LocalHarvest first founded in 1998 is now the nation's leading

per month to the public interested in buying food
from family farms. |
