The Clothing and Textile Advisor offers volunteers the opportunity to share with the community their knowledge of clothing and textiles and related fields, appropriate care methods, as well as the love of sewing. Clothing and Textile Advisors (CTA's) complete a 30+ hour training course to update skills, learn technical advances, and teaching techniques prior to working with the public. Upon completion of training, volunteers complete a minimum of 50 hours of "payback" service to Kitsap County.
The Clothing and Textile Advisor Program is one of several CTA programs available in Washington state. Contact Washington State University Extension offices in Snohomish, Pierce, Thurston, Lewis, Yakima, and Benton/Franklin counties for availability and information.
To find out more information about the CTA program available to Kitsap County residents or to schedule your program, contact the CTA Program Coordinator at 360-871-5039 or kitsapcta@hotmail.com.
