Bainbridge Island
Contact the City of Bainbridge Island for information on living and building along the shoreline of the Island. The City has a Shoreline Stewardship Education Program administered by Peter Namtvedt Best, 206-842-2552 pbest@ci.bainbridge-isl.wa.us.
Use the toolbar on the lefthand side of this page for information on regulations, studies, education, information and ways to volunteer or receive assistance from the Bainbridge Island Shoreline Program.
The Bainbridge Island Shoreline Stewardship Program also offers grants and educational assistance. A Shoreline Intern 205-780-3745 shorelineintern@ci.bainbridge-isl.wa.us coordinates Beach Seining to gather shoreline information about the fish in our waters around the Island. Volunteers are always needed and welcomed.
Additionally, there are at present, 13 Native Plant and Shoreline Stewardship Advisors living on the Island who will visit your property to help you select, plant, maintain and manage native plants in your landscape. To schedule an appointment with one of these stewardship advisors contact: Peg Tillery 360-337-7224 or ptillery@co.kitsap.wa.us.
